Play Active Collection (ABN 59 141 592 610) (“Play”, “we”, “us”, “our”) operates www.playactivecollection.com(the Site). We respect your privacy and handle personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).

This Policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, how we use and disclose it, and the choices you have.

2. Scope

This Policy applies to personal information we collect through the Site, our checkout, newsletters/SMS, social media forms and customer service. It does not cover information collected by third parties we don’t control (see section 10).


3. What we collect

Information you provide

  • Identity & contact details (name, email, phone, billing/shipping address).

  • Account, order and support information (login/email, order details, returns, messages).

  • Marketing choices (newsletter/SMS opt-in, preferences).

  • UGC (reviews, survey responses, social tags).

Payment data: We do not store your full card details. Payments are processed securely by third-party gateways (e.g., Shopify Payments/Stripe/PayPal/Apple Pay/Google Pay).

Information collected automatically

  • Device & usage data (IP address, browser, device type, pages viewed, time on page, referrer/UTM).

  • Cookies and similar technologies (pixels, tags, SDKs) for essential functionality, analytics, and personalised marketing. See Cookies (section 8).

Sensitive information

We don’t intentionally collect sensitive information. Please don’t provide it.

Children

Our Site is not directed to children under 16. If you believe a child has provided data, contact us to delete it.


4. Why we collect and how we use information

We collect, hold, use and disclose personal information to:

  • Provide and fulfil orders (checkout, shipping, returns, warranties).

We share information with trusted providers who help us run our business, including:

  • Payments: Shopify Payments/Stripe/PayPal/Apple Pay/Google Pay.

  • Fulfilment & logistics: warehouses, 3PLs, couriers, address validation.

  • Marketing & communications: Klaviyo (email/SMS), social & ad platforms (e.g., Meta, Google, TikTok) for analytics and advertising (including audience matching and measurement, where permitted).

  • Analytics & site performance: analytics, A/B testing, reCAPTCHA, fraud prevention tools.

  • Professional services: accountants, lawyers, auditors.

  • Regulators/law enforcement: where required by law or to protect rights/safety.

We require service providers to safeguard personal information and use it only for the services they provide to us.


7. International transfers

Our providers may store/process data in Australia and overseas (including the US, EU/UK and other locations). Where required, we take steps to ensure appropriate safeguards are in place (e.g., contractual protections).


8. Cookies, pixels & tracking

We use:

  • Essential cookies – required for cart, checkout, security.

  • Analytics cookies – to understand traffic and improve performance.

  • Marketing cookies/pixels – to personalise ads, measure campaigns, run retargeting and “look-alike” audiences (where allowed).

9. Email & SMS marketing

With your consent (or as otherwise permitted), we send updates, promotions and cart/back-in-stock reminders by email and/or SMS.

  • Opt-out email: use the unsubscribe link in any message.

  • Opt-out SMS: reply STOP/UNSUBSCRIBE or use provided link.
    Standard carrier/data rates may apply for SMS.


10. Links and third-party content

Our Site may link to third-party websites or embed third-party content. We are not responsible for their privacy practices. Review their policies before providing information.


11. Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information (e.g., HTTPS, access controls, encryption in transit by payment processors, staff confidentiality). No method is 100% secure. If a data breach is likely to cause serious harm, we will act in accordance with the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme and notify affected individuals and the OAIC where required.


12. Retention

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described, including legal, tax and accounting requirements, or to resolve disputes and enforce agreements. When no longer required, we take reasonable steps to de-identify or securely destroy it.


13. Your rights & choices

Australia

You may request access to the personal information we hold about you and request correction if it is inaccurate, out-of-date or incomplete. Contact us (section 16). We may verify your identity and, where permitted, charge a reasonable fee for access.

EU/UK (where applicable)

You may have rights to access, rectify, erase, restrict or object to processing, port data, and withdraw consent. You may also lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.

Marketing preferences

You can change your email/SMS preferences at any time using the links in our messages or by contacting us.


14. Do Not Track / automated decision-making

We do not respond to browser “Do Not Track” signals. We do not engage in solely automated decisions that legally or similarly significantly affect you.


15. User-generated content & social tags

If you tag us or submit reviews/photos, you grant us permission to display and share that content in accordance with our Terms. Do not share others’ personal information without consent.
